Intex Airbed

Unless Intex airbeds have built-in pumps mounted inside them with the panel portion showing, they may have a 3-in-1, a 2-in-1, or a double valve. The 3-in-1 valve has 2 clips on either side of the valve cap and allows for easy removal, while the 2-in-1 valve does not have clips but consists of a screw-on cap and a plug that fits on top and in the middle of the cap. The double valve is a vinyl valve stem to be attached to the mattress; it is somewhat like a beach ball valve.

Certain types of construction are used in an Intex airbed. These are (1) coil beams with open vinyl loops each attached by a weld to the bottom and top of the airbed; (2) I beams characterized by parallel vinyl beams oriented either horizontally or vertically; (3) wave beams, a converted construction of I beams, with equidistant air channels creating a wavelike surface; (4) comfort-top, consisting of two layers, namely a base of I beams and a top layer of circular imprints, each of which is attached by a weld to a solid vinyl sheet, providing flexibility; and (5) airflow, consisting of diamond-shaped pockets to allow smooth airflow from one pocket to another.

If your concern is whether you can use normal sheets on an Intex airbed, then you will be pleased to know that you can. All you have to do is make sure the pocket on the sheets you intend to use will fit the depth of the airbed.

Approximate weight capacity of Intex airbeds is 300 lbs. (136 kg) for junior twin or twin and 600 lbs. (272 kg) for full, queen, or king. Every Intex airbed is inspected and tested to make sure that it meets Intex standards for quality and performance.
